Packed full of instruction and practice, Cheerleading Camp helps both new and experienced squads develop skills and Christian-leadership qualities. Squads learn new cheers, develop teamwork, and learn stunting and tumbling techniques on all skill levels. Evaluation— Each squad is evaluated on performance and receives an instructional camp video. Written evaluation and rating show areas in which the squad excels or can improve. Areas of evaluation:
Leadership—the ability to confidently lead and involve the crowd in team support, school spirit, and Christian character. Technique—the mechanics of cheerleading. Competition— On the last day of camp, all squads are invited to compete with one floor cheer from camp, one floor cheer from home, and one stunt. Cheers should include a variety of techniques. The competition includes Varsity and JV awards for leadership and technique, most improved squad, and most spirited squad. In addition, a Varsity and JV All-Spirit Squad is selected. Instructional packet—Each group leader receives a complimentary packet of stunts, sidelines, cheers, exercise routines, and more. How much does it cost? What do I need to bring? When do I arrive and depart? How do I apply? What if I need to cancel?
